“The best thing to hold onto in life
is each other.” -Audrey Hepburn
In the middle of the night a man (some believe is Christ)
came and wrestled Jacob. When the
man saw he’d not win the match he touched Jacob’s leg and put it out of socket
(Gen. 32:25). He told Jacob to let
him go, but Jacob said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” The man gave Jacob a new name, Israel,
as he fought with God and with men and won. Through Israel a nation was born. Jacob’s lesson is true for you and me, too: hold onto God for
a blessing and in just the right time He will bless you.
Let us hold
unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful (Hebrews
10:23, NIV).
