Stick-to-it-ivity

“Be like a postage stamp. Stick to one thing until you get there.”  -Josh Billings

Walt Disney, who happened to know a little something about perseverance, coined the phrase “stick-to-it-ivity”.  It’s when you feel like giving in but you decide to stick to what you know you’re supposed to do.  You do the right thing in spite of excuses to do the wrong thing.   You obey God simply because you know that’s the only way for you.  That’s stick-to-it-ivity. 

So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin (James 4:17, ESV).
