Often times we may meet people that
are facing trials that we’ve never experienced, and then there isn’t much we
can say, but, “I’m sorry, I hope you feel better.” Those words may feel empty as you speak them, because although
you sympathize with them, you don’t also empathize with them. How can you if you’ve never gone through what they’re going
through? Sometimes you may go
through trials, but the silver lining is that in the end God will use you to
say to someone, “I’m sorry, but trust me, things do get better.”
God
blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted
(Matthew 5:4, NLT).
