“The more you worship, the
less you worry.” –Rick Warren
Throughout
the most agonizing seasons of King David’s life—running from his enemies,
fighting sin, and losing his loved ones—he worshipped God in spite of his
pain. David played the harp,
danced, and sung. He was the Bon
Jovi of his time! I’ve learned throughout
my short 25 years that in the midst of painful seasons I also have to worship
God, but in my own way. I write! And I will write with all of my
heart. Maybe you are a teacher,
physician, athlete, or technician.
Whatever it is you do, worship God through it, and especially when you
might be hurting. Just like God brought David through his pain He will do the
same for you.
Give
to the LORD the glory he deserves! Bring your offering and come into his
presence. Worship the LORD in all his holy splendor (1 Chronicles
16:29, NLT).
