“Enjoy the little things, for one day
you may look back and realize they were the big things.” -Robert
Brault
In lieu of
enjoying simple pleasures in life now people often place lofty expectations on
the future: “When I graduate college my life will be so much easier” or “Once I
get married then I’ll finally be happy.”
If you can’t enjoy life now then what makes you think you’re going to
enjoy it once you attain your goal? You’ll most likely have new goals that cause you to delay
enjoyment. Life isn’t that complicated. Thank God for all you have, learn
something new every day, and never miss an opportunity to tell family and
friends you love them.
You
will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In
Your right hand there are pleasures forever (Psalm 16:11, NASB).
