Provision

Tax collectors approached Peter to ask that he and Jesus pay a temple tax. There’s only one problem: Peter didn’t have any money.  Peter had given up his profession as a fisherman to be a ‘fisher of men’ practicing ministry.  Jesus instructed Peter to go fishing so that he could find a gold coin in the mouth of the first fish he caught. Sure enough, God provided.  Peter’s lesson is true for you and me, too: Submit to God’s plan and He will supply your every need.

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19, ESV).
