“It is in your moments of decision
that your destiny is shaped.” -Tony Robbins
Joshua was very old and before he
died, he urged the people of Israel to decide to worship only the One True God
after his passing (Josh. 24). Like
their ancestors they could easily become tempted to worship many other gods if
they didn’t decide ahead of time on doing what’s right. We too must know ahead of time what we won’t do. For instance, don’t decide when you’re in the backseat of a
car with someone that you’re not going to have sex until you’re
married. Decide on what’s right
ahead of time. Don't decide if you should do something shady at your work whenever the opportunity is presented. Decide on what’s right ahead of
time. It may be hard to see this now, but when you do what's right, God will bless you for it.
I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin
against you (Psalm 119:11, NLT).
