“Isn't it amazing
that we are all made in God's image, and yet there is so much diversity among
his people?” -Desmond Tutu
Paul, a Jew, was called to the
Gentiles. Paul had so much to
offer others that there’s no way it could just be for people that looked like
him, thought like him and spoke like him.
Instead he went to places like Arabia, Syria, and Greece and embraced
the diversity in their cultures.
It’s no wonder Paul had a multicultural group of friends. Some people today are too comfortable
hanging out with their homogenous group of friends that have the same skin
color, religion, or socioeconomic background. Don’t just be tolerant of others; be intentional about making
friends with people that are different than you. Be connoisseur of cultures right in your own city. Experience new food, music and
traditions: and watch as your life becomes more richly blessed.
I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means
save some (1 Corinthians 9:22, KJV).
