“It's not the load that breaks you down, it's the way you
carry it.” ― Lou Holtz
If you’ve ever tried to carry all of your groceries in
from the car, keeping one hand free to open the house door with a key, then the
grocery load is always harder to carry.
You’re imbalanced and this carrying method is unsustainable. Conversely, if you balance the load on
either hand then the load is much easier to carry. Similarly, if one invests all of their time and energy into
their job, or one person, or a church—then eventually the other important areas
(I.e., health, family, God) in their life will suffer. Find a balance so that you live a fulfilled
and victorious life.
I
have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am
(Philippians 4:11, NASB).
