“We must never rest until
everything inside of us worships God.” –A.W. Tozer
While Moses and Israel sojourned
to the promise land, the Amalek Army attacked them. Moses instructed his protégé Joshua to take Israel to war
with Amalek. If Israel would win however,
this depended on Moses keeping his hands up on the mountaintop. Conversely they would begin to lose if
he let his hands down. Notice
Moses didn’t raise his hands up after Israel won, but while they were still
fighting. Likewise, despite how bleak a
circumstance appears, in spite of what you are facing, keep your hands and
heart in a posture of praise. Worship
God with all your might. Remember people are depending on you, God is fighting
for you, and wars are won when you worship.
…and
so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe
(Hebrew 12:29, NLT).
