Learning To Lose Well

In the Old Testament there’s a pattern: generation after generation of Israelites turned their hearts away from God to idols, so God disciplined them to be able to redeem them.  The difference in those that won with God and those that lost without Him is that winners lost well.  Winners learned from their indiscretion, humbled themselves, and were better for it.  We all stumble, fail, or displease God in either little or big ways.  What makes you a winner with God is not only that you become aware of it to repent of it, but you also learn from it.  Refuse to lose down the same dead-end road you lost last time.  If you’re on a dead-end road, turn around!  Win by becoming better for everything you’ve been through.
