“There are many of us that are willing to do great things
for the Lord, but few of us are willing to do little things.” -Dwight L. Moody
Often we look at biblical characters like Moses
who parted the Red Sea and we say, “I wish I could do something like that.” In our own ways each of us likes the
idea of doing something really great for God. The problem is that if some people don’t feel like they can
do a great thing then they do nothing.
What if this Christian life is more about the little things that we are
willing to do for God? Perhaps God
wants you to honor hurting people, to give generously to the poor, and to live
a life of purity. Don’t discount
the little things, because one day we may find out that the little things were
actually the great things.
If
you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if
you are dishonest in little things, you won't be honest with greater
responsibilities (Luke 16:10, NLT).
