“Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn't matter to me. Going to
bed at night saying we've done something wonderful, that's what matters to me.” -Steve Jobs
Pop culture has much to say on what makes a man: be ‘tall,
dark, and handsome’ and if you’re not any of that then just settle for being rich. Jesus called each of us to life more
abundantly, and this usually doesn’t mean materially—rather psychologically,
spiritually, and eternally. Today,
check whether your ambitions are rooted in the world or in the Word: one way lands
you in a wooden coffin and the other always leads you to a wooden cross.
For
what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own
soul? (Mark 8:36,
KJV)
