“When you are courting a nice girl an hour seems like a second. When
you sit on a red-hot cinder a second seems like an hour. That's relativity.” -Albert
Einstein
What if we could weigh our “problems” in
proportion with the rest of the world?
(Almost 7 billion persons.) While one “tired” man prays he doesn’t have to work late,
another tired man prays he can find a job to feed his family. As one “stressed” mother wishes she had
more time to herself to unwind, another stressed mother wishes she had more
time with her terminally ill child. This doesn’t mean that some of our “problems” aren’t
legitimate problems, however global relativity weighs our “problems” in a more even
scale.
Let me
be weighed in an even balance, that God may know mine integrity (Job 31:6).
