“If you don’t like something change it; if you can’t
change it, change the way you think about it.” – Mary Engelbreit
Often when people go through
difficult seasons of life they seem to want the big question: ‘why?’ “Why me?” or “Why would a good God let
something bad happen to me?”
Scripture says bad things happen to both the just and unjust (Matt.
5:45). You cannot always control the circumstances you’re in, but you can
control your response to the circumstances. Although often we can’t explain why, we can always ask, ‘what?’
“What am I going to do about it?”
Or “God, in this season what do you want to teach me?”
The LORD also will be a stronghold for the oppressed, A
stronghold in times of trouble, And those who know Thy name will put their
trust in Thee (Psalm 9:9, NLT).
