“My great hope is to laugh as much as I cry…” -Maya Angelou
One day I dragged my three
buddies—one of whom was in the army and the other a bodybuilder— into a yoga
session of mostly women because I assured them that they would stretch their
bodies and minds. Yoga is usually
a solemn experience, but this time one of the young ladies ripped one! The rest of the class heard the fart
too, but they opted not to say anything.
Us four guys, however, attempted to hold in the laughter all while
in the middle of a compromising stretch.
One by one we all fell to the ground and burst with laughter. We rolled around laughing for what
seemed to be five minutes, probably getting just as a good of an abdominal workout
doing so! As the saying goes,
“Laughter is medicine for the soul.” Likewise you may have times in which life
seems somber, however God made laughter for a purpose so that you find
something funny to laugh at. So
live it up and laugh more!
He
will yet fill your mouth with laughter… (Job 8:21, ESV)
