“Don't dwell on what
went wrong. Instead, focus on what to do next.” -Denise Waitley
Today I packed my entire life away in five
suitcases. You could probably call
me a pack rat, because I don’t like to throw away anything. To get to where I want to go, however,
there are some things that I simply can’t take with me or else it will weigh me
down, and I’ll have to pay a hefty fine to the airline. Likewise, when you want to move
forward in life then there are some things, maybe some people, from your past
that you can’t take with you if you want to move with any kind of speed. Don’t be a pack rat. Whether a relationship, a temptation,
or a negative outlook—leave it behind.
Just do it. You’ll be
better off because you did.
Let
us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles (Hebrews
12:1, NIV).
