“What you are
afraid to do is a clear indicator of the next thing you need to do.” Tony Robbins
There was a time
that I was afraid to speak in front of people. Now, however, I’m quite often in the position to speak to
large groups of people. God must also
have a sense of humor, because my current job is as a “speech coach,” teaching
students at my university in competitive public speaking! My plan was to avoid public speaking,
but God’s plan was for me to assume responsibility for His purpose. Maybe there is something—teaching,
serving, giving, loving—that God is calling you to do, but you are afraid. Step out in faith and assume responsibility!
Throughout Scripture God never
called the equipped, He equipped the called. God will also equip you to do what He has called you to do.
Don't
be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will
strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand
(Isaiah 41:10, NLT).
