“Courage is resistance to fear,
mastery of fear, not absence of fear.” -Mark Twain
What would happen if you asked God to remove the uncertain
and hard things in life so that you could overcome your fears? That would be like thinking you’ll
never be sore again if you quit working out. Sure, you might not be sore again, but you won’t be strong
either. The only way to truly get
through soreness is to push through and work out more. The only way God helps us isn’t by taking something away; He must keep us in the middle of it and give us the
perspective to see through it.
When
I am afraid, I will put my trust in You (Psalm 56:3, NASB).
