“Friendship… is not something you
learn in school. But if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship,
you really haven’t learned anything.” –Muhammad Ali
Have you ever spent an entire day
with a friend and picked up some of their habits? Maybe you subconsciously
began to mimic the way they talked, laughed, or joked. If you hang out
with people who are angry, who gossip and are negative then it influences
you—not only your sense of peace now, but also the level of success you have
later. Obviously some people in life you can’t avoid (perhaps coworkers and
family), but you can choose a close circle of friends who push you to be
better. These Destiny Pushers who speak love, hope, and faith into your
life are a catalyst to help you arrive at the future God has for you.
Whoever walks with the wise becomes
wise, but the companion of the fools will suffer harm (Proverbs 13:20, NIV).
