“Wherever you are - be all there.“ -Jim Elliot (missionary)
With innovations like the iPad and smart phone, this generation
has either become better at distracting ourselves or at multitasking. Author of 7 Habits, Steven Covey, says “Be efficient with things; be
effective with people.” In other
words, if you parents are working
at home and your kid walks in the room, it’s best to put down the laptop and
give them your attention. And you
single guys are better off not texting on a dinner date (if you want her to go
out with you again). Or maybe this
means you drink Starbucks so you’re mentally alert at church; who know, you may
learn something!
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever
is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if
there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell
on these things
(Phillipians 4:8, ESV).
