“The best
way to follow your dreams, is to put GPS on the back of your eye lids.” –Michael Phelps
I systematize my weekly schedule, I calculate how many
carbohydrates I need to run efficiently, and financially I budget each month to pay bills and buy groceries—I’m a planner. There are moments I would like God to fit in my plans, but
God doesn’t work that way. Sometimes
that’s hard for me. Bishop T.D.
Jakes says God acts more like a GPS system, a still small voice that tells you
when you must make your next turn. When God asks you to walk by faith He doesn’t give you all
the facts up front. God doesn’t do
details when He gives directions.
God is interested in your next obedient step.
The heart of man
plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps (Proverbs 16:9,
ESV).
