“Lust is the craving for salt of a man who is dying of
thirst.” - Frederick Buechner
By our very nature we can crave that which hurts us the
most: some want what they can never
have and others want that which will only lead to destruction. Many think that by living by their
lusts they are livin’ it up. Lust soon
spirals them downward, leaving them emptier than they began, but still wanting
more. My prayer today is that instead
of lust we choose love. God is
love. Let Jesus quench your
thirst.
Jesus
replied, "If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are
speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water” (John 4:10, NLT).
