Culture v. Christ

Culture says, “Get even”—Christ says, “Turn the other cheek.”  Culture says, “Follow your heart”—Christ says, “Follow me.”  Culture says, “Listen to your feelings”—Christ says, “Obey my commandments.”  Culture says, “Love money,”—Christ says, “Love your neighbor.”  Culture says, “Worry about tomorrow”—Christ says, “Oh ye of little faith.” 

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world  (John 16:33, NIV).
