“Wash you face every morning in a bath of praise.” -Charles Spurgeon
We often wash away rheum, “sleepy,” from our eyes that
hinder us from seeing clearly in the morning. Likewise, a forgetful nature hinders a Christian from
clearly seeing God for who he is: “Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Prince of
Peace, and Everlasting Father”—Jesus.
Wash the sleepy away and
praise God every morning.
Therefore, let us
offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our
allegiance to his name (Hebrews 13:15, NLT).
