“I don't like that man. I must get to know him better.” -Abraham
Lincoln
“Love thy neighbor as thyself”—sureeeeeee,
God, love everyone—BUT some people are just so hard to like! What if we took the approach to people
that many of us took to eating our vegetables when we were toddlers? The broccoli looks “gross,” has a
putrid stench, but it’s on our plate and we have to eat it. Some people are there in our lives for
a reason: once we decide to deal with them, like eating the broccoli, it proves
to be a healthy choice.
And as you wish
that others would do to you, do so to them (Luke 6:31, ESV).
