“One’s destination is never a place,
but a new way of seeing things.” – Henry Miller
Many echo the sentiment, “Here am I
[Lord]! Send me” (Isaiah 8:6, KJV). We would go anywhere and everywhere
God wants us to—if we just knew where that was. If you’re like me then
you may have questions and you need answers. There are no formulas for
instant success, but there are Scriptural signposts to help you follow Jesus.
I encourage you to (1) keep to your roadmap, allowing the Word to guide
any decision you will make. (2) Pray, pray, and pray some more: God’s
voice is your compass. (3) Journal: keep track of where you’ve been, and
brainstorm ideas of where you might want to go. (4) Seek advice from a
multitude of counselors, godly men and women who have taken the road less
traveled! (5) Interpret walking by faith as proactively moving: don’t
just stand and hope. (6) Don't get sidetracked! There are more bad
routes out there than good. Again, God's voice is your compass. (7) When you do
decide, no matter what, give God the glory.
The steps of a good man are ordered
by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way (Psalms 37:23-24, KJV).
