“Humor is mankind's greatest blessing.” -Mark Twain
At a health store I was about to purchase a protein bar that
was priced at $1.59. The cashier
asked if I was a club member, and I told him no. He said that price is special for members only, but it would
cost me, a non-member, $2.12. I
told him I’d pass. I heard him
laugh at me as I walked away. I
went next door to the supermarket and picked up 3 bars for 3 bucks (equivalent
to the amount I otherwise would have paid for 1 protein bar at the health store).
Proud of myself for finding a bargain, I handed the cashier
the money and she handed me a coupon for a free protein bar! I exchanged the coupon for the protein bar
to have her hand me yet another coupon for a free protein bar!
“It’s a protein-parade”—I thought to myself—“This has to be
the best thing SINCE Jesus turned the water into wine!” Now calling this a miracle may be a
stretch, but I can say that because our Father is faithful, I am made full,
literally. God’s benefits aren’t
saved for club elitists, they’re for common folks: the heath nut, the gym rat,
and the marathon runner. God
favors all of His children!
The veil has been torn, and God’s blessing isn’t just on the
Jews anymore, it’s on the Gentiles.
He’s as much for me as He is for you.
Personally, I have yet to hear that audible voice booming
from the heavens, but it’s the little things God does every day in which He
whispers: “I’m real, I love you,
and I will provide for you.”
Our Father gives blessing, favor, and prosperity. God knows
just how to manifest Himself to you in relation to your situation, no matter
what you’re going through. Today I pray that you be faithful because your
Heavenly Father will always be.
That the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in
Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith (Galatians 3:14,
NKJV).
