"Hatred paralyzes life love releases it. Hatred confuses life love harmonize it. Hatred darkens life love illuminates it." -Martin Luther King Jr.
If we aren’t careful, we can let
hate creep into our lives. It
doesn’t take much; a coworker conspires against you, a boss belittles you, a
spouse sasses you—until all of the sudden you lose it. In a matter of moments you lose your
temper and testimony. Don’t fight
fire with fire. Lay down your
weapons. Let God’s love and grace
rain down on you. Raise a white
flag, surrendering every problem to a sovereign God who has the whole world and
every person in the palm of His hand.
Deliver me from my enemies, O God; protect
me from those who rise up against me. Deliver me from
evildoers and save me from bloodthirsty men. See
how they lie in wait for me! Fierce men conspire against me
for no offense or sin of mine, O LORD. I have done no wrong, yet they are ready to attack me. Arise to
help me; look on my plight! (Psalms 59:1-4, NIV)
